9 years ago this week, our “Threshold of Perception” was broadened by the theory of the “Dyson Sphere”!

On June 24, 2014, Allegaeon released their third full-length studio album, “Elements of the Infinite” via Metal Blade Records. This is the band's first release with guitarist Michael Stancel and drummer Brandon Park, and last with original vocalist Ezra Haynes.

The album has been heavily praised, with Gregory Heaney of AllMusic praising "the dazzling guitar work" and "epic orchestral flourishes". In 2015, original vocalist Ezra Haynes departed Allegaeon, not citing a specific reason, though it is clear it was not because of internal band issues. Riley McShane was immediately selected to take over as vocalist, and has received a positive reaction from the fans.

Critical Reception:

“Elements of the Infinite” received positive reviews upon its release with AllMusic’s Gregory Heaney saying; “Elements of the Infinite” is a creative breakthrough from Allegaeon that Melodic Death Metal fans will want to spend a little time with.”

While Daniel Cordova at Metal Injection stated; “When the band is trying new things, I cannot praise this record enough. What isn't new, isn't bad by any means either. This band is great and has never dipped in quality. It's just that the new shit propels this record, and makes it their best yet.”
